Our Prayer This Week

From the Principal

Dear parents, guardians and students,

I would like to begin by congratulating our parents on the way they have embraced remote learning over the last six weeks and how they have managed isolation whilst being parents, teachers, welfare officers, referees, grief councillors, entertainment directors and police officers. This has been a considerably challenging situation that has been met with genuine dignity and love for the children at home. As the Junior and Middle children are returning this week all our thoughts and energies turn to making the return smooth, enjoyable and safe after 9 weeks away from school. We will continue to support the families and students in the Senior room until they rejoin us on the 9th of June.

Junior and Middle School Return Parties

We will be holding a party and having some fun activities for all returning students this Tuesday to celebrate an end to isolation. We will provide all the food needed so please do not send any to share. The Senior students will also have a celebration on their return.

Welcome to our new newsletter

We have moved to a digital newsletter to keep up with the increasingly connected digital world. We are also updating our school website to make it more valuable to our school community and to be a vibrant contact point with the online community. The external provider we are using to do this is "Schoolzine" and they will continue to offer some great resources. Please enjoy this new facility and keep up to date with what is going on at St Colman's.

Stay Connected, Stay Informed

Now with this new platform we can share material like never before. Here is a glimps of remote learning from Adia

School Buses Return

As we begin normal school attendance for many students there are a few things Coles will be doing to support safe travel for all students. The bus company will be sitting siblings together and stagnating seating where possible. The first two rows behind the bus driver will remain empty and the buses will have extra cleaning daily. Coles have asked families to please have students sanitise their hands before getting on the bus each morning and all students will sanitise again before getting on the bus in the afternoons.
