Term 4 Week 5 Wednesday 4th November
Our Prayer This Week
From the Principal
Dear parents and carers,
It was wonderful to finally hold an event that allowed the school to celebrate together as a community. Book Week gave the students a sense of normality with a planned annual event able to take place with our parents able to participate (from a safe distance). Thank you to everyone involved for making it a special time.
Book Week
What a wonderful celebration of books and of reading. A huge thanks to Jenny and the staff for the energy and enthusiasm shown last Friday. Thank you to the parents for attending at a distance and supporting the students on the day.

School Advisory Board Positions
With our AGM set for Wednesday 25th of November we are seeking nominations from parents to join our School Advisory Council to replace some long serving members. We thank Kate Carmody, Rachel Krepp, Lisa Parker, Jacinta Jubb and Nicola Herry for their service and valued contributions to the council. If you believe that you or your partner can contribute to this group, please contact the school.
Remembrance Day
Rememberance day will be upon us very soon. On Wednesday the 11th of November our nation will pause for a minutes reflection at 11am where we recall the times of war and the sacrafice of our Australian citizens to retain the freedom we now enjoy. The Mortlake RSL have provided us with a range of items for purchas in the school office. Our school leaders will take these to the classrooms each day to see if students wish to purchas from the tray. From left to right these items are priced at $2, $3, $4, $5 and $5 for the pens.
Grade 6 Excursion
Our Grade 6 students will be going on an excursion to the Noorat campus of Mercy Regional College on Tuesday the 10th of November to explore the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Maths) education activities they are conducting. The students will travel by car at lunch time and return to school before the final school bell. There will be no Mercy students onsite on the day to comply with our current restrictions.
Senior School Camp
Our Senior school camp to Grampians Retreat will take place in early December. At this stage we are not sure if it will be alone or with St Thomas'. The Grade 5 and 6 students are very excited about the prospect.
