Our Prayer This Week

From the Principal

Well, the 2021 school year is off and racing and we have experienced a very smooth beginning to, what promises to be, a far more settled year of learning and fun. It was tremendous to see new and returning families in the school yesterday to meet with teachers and to reconnect as a school community. Let's hope this momentum continues right throughout the year.

2021 Swimming

This year we will have an intensive two weeks of swimming before our combined swimming sports. The days are as follows:-

Monday 1st of February - 2pm
Tuesday 2nd of February - 2pm
Wednesday 3rd of February - 2pm
Monday 8th of February - 2pm
Tuesday 9th of February - 2pm
Wednesday 10th of February - 2pm
Thursday 11th of February - 2pm
SWIMMING CARNIVAL Friday 12th of February

We would greatly appreciate parent helpers to make the sessions successful and safe.

Children will need to bring bathers, underwear, goggles (If you have some), towel, all in a sturdy swimming bag.

Testing Days

Just a reminder to parents that there is no school this Thursday and Friday. Instead, each child will come to school school for a Literacy assessment appointment. Parents need to log into PAM to book a time for this appointment. If you are having difficulty with this, please contact the school.

Foundation Rest Day

During Term 1 our Foundation students will not attend school on Wednesdays to allow them to cope with the extra demands of full time school. This week we have testing days on Thursday and Friday so they will be at school this Wednesday. On weeks where there is a public holiday they will come to school on the Wednesday to keep the 4 day program. They will attend full time in second term unless parents decide they need some extra rest throughout the week.

School Hats

In Term 1 children are required to wear their hat every day whenever they are outside. Some children do not have a hat at school at the moment so we are asking parents to please send it along or purchase a new hat from the office. We name the hats clearly to help with identification but we are asking parents to do the same with their child's uniform, drink bottles, stationary etc.

"Back to school" Information

Last week, a newsletter notification was sent out with all the administrative documents and information needed at the beginning of the year. If you have not attended to this yet, you will find it in the Archived Newsletters tile of the SZapp. Please take some time to complete the necessary forms and surveys and return any necessary forms to the school office as soon as possible. If you cannot print a form, please contact Jane and she will send one home.

School Fees

The accounts for the 2021 School fees have been emailed out today for families to address. Please refer to the Back to School 2021 Newsletter for payment options and complete the survey if you have not done so yet.
