Our Prayer This Week

From the Principal

Dear parents and members of our community,

We wait with bated breath for the announcement as to when we will resume onsite learning once again. We are hoping to have students back to school on Wednesday but if remote learning is extended, the teachers have prepared learning materials for the whole of this week just in case.

Remote Learning

It has been delightful to hear stories of families fully embracing learning from home and to see parents on the video calls listening to the work expectations for the day. Thank you to our parents for the energy you have put into the wellbeing and education of your children during this time.

Well done Kate on your Wackey Wednesday work last week. Very creative!

Parent/Teacher Interviews

Our preferred mode for Parent/Teacher interviews is face-to-face but if this lockdown is extended or continued restrictions prevent this we will need to conduct these conversations on the phone instead. We will keep you informed as this becomes clearer.

Baby on Board

In this time of worrying news, it is lovely to hear that Bridget and Micheal Van Den Broek are expecting the arrival of their second child later this year. We wish them all the best in this exciting time. We will begin making arrangements for maternity leave staffing to cover Bridget's absence.

School Closure Days

In previous years St Colman's has chosen Sheepvention as our public instead of the designated Moyne Shire holiday. We are now required to take Warrnambool race day as our holiday however, as this day has passed, we will have the 2021 Sheepvention date of August 2nd (NEXT MONDAY)  this year and move to race day next year.

Trivia Night

We will have to either rescheduled or cancel our Trivia Night from this Friday as lockdown or further restrictions will make this impossible to run effectively.

SAC Meeting Postponed

Until we are informed of the restrictions in place once lockdown is lifted, we will postpone the SAC meeting planned for this Wednesday the 28th of July.

Staff Leave

We welcome back Jane this week and we hope she had an enjoyable break.

Jenny will continue her medical leave until Friday the 6th of August.
