Our Prayer This Week

From the Principal

Dear parents and members of our community,

It is wonderful to have a school filled with a large number of students and lessons being conducted face to face rather than on a screen. Our thoughts and prayers go out to our Senior students and their families as they continue remote learning for the time being. We welcome back the Lehmann family after their family holiday and look forward to stories of Alex's adventures over that last few months.

Week 10 Arrangements

This is our final week of what has been a very challenging but rewarding Term 3. We thank parents for their support, resilience and understanding in the difficult circumstances we endured. We are hoping for a far more settled term ahead but there are still many worrying times ahead.

Term 3 finishes this Friday the 17th of September at 2:15pm. We hope everyone has a safe and relaxing holiday break.

Themes for the Day

This week we have a few fun themes for each day to help the children through the final week of term.
Tuesday - Crazy hair day. (Colour, style or accessorise your hair)
Wednesday - Just our sport clothes for PE and Art
Thursday - Bring in something from your garden. (A flower or a plant)
Friday - Footy colours day. (The children are asked to dress in the colours of their favourite team)

Term 4 Uniform

With the change from Term 3 to Term 4 we also see the change to Summer uniform at school. A reminder that all students are welcome to wear their dark blue polo tops every day and grey shorts on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. The blue sport shorts with the school logo can be worn on Wednesday. Girls are also able to wear their summer dresses on all days except Wednesday. Don't forget the black school shoes as well.

2021 Camps and Excursions

With limited opportunities to continue our normal program of camps and excursions due to the pandemic, we are seeking opportunities to reschedule some dates for fourth term at venues in our region. If these do not eventuate or are not the full cost that has been charged on out levies, this money will be refunded to families at the end of the year.

School Review

Thursday and Friday's review panel meeting last week saw the culmination of six months of work on our school review. The final result was the establishing of three large priorities for future improvement of the school. We will share these next term when the final review report has been made available to us.

The second outcome was the high praise given to the school for incredible improvements in student learning and wellbeing over the last five years. We as an entire community should be very proud of the state our school is in at present.
