Term 4 Week 10 Monday 6th December
Our Prayer This Week
From the Principal
Dear parents and members of our community,
We are enjoying the fun of Christmas at school this week and looking forward to the exciting events before the end of term. Preparations are underway to ensure that the 2022 school year begins smoothly with new staff and students experiencing our vision of Welcome, Learn, Faith and Care.
Move Up Day
Our final transition opportunity will happen this Tuesday the 7th of December with our "Move Up Day". All classes and staff will move to their new rooms for the whole day. Mrs Marshall will be at St Thomas' Terang as she will be working there next year. Mrs Moloney will be in the Junior room, Mrs Tegelhuter will be in the Middle room and Mrs O'Connor will be in the Senior room. We look forward to welcoming our three new prep students and our two new families to our school community. Ms Atkins will be here also to continue her transition to the role of school principal.
SAC Annual General Meeting
We will conduct our AGM for our School Advisory Council tonight, the 6th of December at 6:30pm at the Mt Shadwell Hotel. We have three long-standing members of the board who have given enormously to this group and are due to step down from the role. We have three new people to replace them and we look forward to their contribution to the SAC.
End of Year Celebration
We will celebrate the end of our school year with an evening gathering on Monday the 13th of December at St Colman's church and a family BBQ at school afterwards. On this night we will pray together, hold an art show, sing carols, celebrate the graduation of our Grade 6 children, recognise our 2022 student leaders and farewell families and staff who are leaving us. We hope to see all our families at this event.

Awards
Congratulations to our award winners this week:
MacqLit
Congratulations to Nick, Kaison and Harley on completing their MacqLit program last week. Well done Brianna for providing such a valuable support to these students.
School Fees
At present we are calculating final school fees for 2021. We have some camp and excursion funds that were not used this year due to the pandemic and this can be credited to some families to help with the fees owing and the uniform costs on some accounts. We appreciate all your efforts to complete these payments as soon as possible.
Library Books
With the end of the year approaching, we are asking that all library books are returned this week. This will give us time next week for our final organisation of the book stocks before the Christmas break.
Birthdays
Congratulations to all who are celebrating their birthdays.

Music Lessons
This year has again been difficult with many weeks online but we’ve made it through! All but one student have managed to increase their ability by at least one level, with some managed three or four levels! It has been wonderful teaching them and I’m looking forward to seeing most of them back again next year!
Because there are a number of students not returning to music for one reason or another, I will have space next year for some new students. If you are interested in having your student learn a musical instrument next year, such as piano or guitar, please contact me on 0417559235 and either leave a message or send a text.
Merry Christmas!
